Abstract Holiday Tree

Abstract Lights © 2010 Bo Mackison

Not your ordinary Christmas tree photograph, but one of my favorites. I’m a big fan of Holiday lights. My favorite activity of the Christmas season is to sit in a darkened room, one lit only by the multi-colored lights of the Christmas tree.

About Bo Mackison

I'm a photographer, book-artist, traveler, naturalist, and creator of the Contemplative Creatives Journey, An Online Workshop and Community and Desert Wisdom Cards and Workshops. Though often not well known, I find the desert a welcoming place - a healing space. Its mysteries and gifts transformed me several years ago. Since that first encounter, I return again and again to fill my well in what most people think of as a desolate region. I'd love to share my desert discoveries and wisdom with you. Please subscribe to receive my five part mini email course The Gifts of the Desert. It's my gift to you.

  1. Ooooo! Very pretty, Bo. I love the colors.

That’s one of my favorite activities of the season too.

  2. One of my favorite things is also sitting by only the glow of the tree, sadly those times are coming to a close. I really like this, it reminds me of works from my art textbook this past semester. One would think you almost drew inspiration from those. Totally cool.

  3. Very fun.
