All is a Miracle

Cotton Sky

People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air, but to walk on earth. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don’t even recognize: a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves, the black, curious eyes of a child– our own two eyes. All is a miracle.  ~ Thich Nhat Hanh

About Bo Mackison

I'm a photographer, book-artist, traveler, naturalist, and creator of the Contemplative Creatives Journey, An Online Workshop and Community and Desert Wisdom Cards and Workshops. Though often not well known, I find the desert a welcoming place - a healing space. Its mysteries and gifts transformed me several years ago. Since that first encounter, I return again and again to fill my well in what most people think of as a desolate region. I'd love to share my desert discoveries and wisdom with you. Please subscribe to receive my five part mini email course The Gifts of the Desert. It's my gift to you.

  8. I could take a slow walk on those clouds. Beautiful.

  9. Love the photo and it is great seeing the blue skies again!

  10. I love the quote by Thich Nhat Hanh–and anything said by Thich Nhat Hanh. Gorgeous clouds with the deep blue sky. 🙂

  11. I bird in an area that is so similar to this shot… (it’s a great place to see the meadowlark right now as they are setting up nests in the meadows.) This is a gorgeous shot. I keep attempting to capture the scene like you have here – it has a simplistic beauty and strips nature down to it bare essentials however, your composition is what I just cannot master – I’m completely envious! Really beautiful!
