We spent much of yesterday on the road. As we approached Madison, we pulled over to switch drivers and attracted by an unusual, multicolored Wisconsin sunset, we paused to catch the show in the sky.
I have a habit I have learned as a photographer. Whenever I take a photograph, I always turn around to see what is behind me. I often find an equally interesting subject to photograph.
In this case, I caught the reflected sunlight on a sheared field, a row of boundary trees, a few low-lying clouds shining purple in the filtered light, and a nearly full moon.
Simple, yet satisfying. It was a reminder of how good it felt to be returning to my home.

How beautiful! The colors are so rich in field and sky with the moon. Yes, the scenes behind can be the best. 🙂
I love the colors and richness of the on-coming night-fall.
Funny. I do the same thing – always turn around and see what’s behind me. And – look what you found!! What gorgeous light!!!
Beautiful work Bo…I agree about turning around and looking for other images that might just appear !!
