From a Spider’s Web

Sunlight on a Spiders Web

Sunlight Caught in a Spider’s Web © 2008 Bo Mackison

The artist is a receptacle for the emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider’s web.   ~~  Pablo Picasso

About Bo Mackison

I'm a photographer, book-artist, traveler, naturalist, and creator of the Contemplative Creatives Journey, An Online Workshop and Community and Desert Wisdom Cards and Workshops. Though often not well known, I find the desert a welcoming place - a healing space. Its mysteries and gifts transformed me several years ago. Since that first encounter, I return again and again to fill my well in what most people think of as a desolate region. I'd love to share my desert discoveries and wisdom with you. Please subscribe to receive my five part mini email course The Gifts of the Desert. It's my gift to you.

Such an interesting web capture. The DOF is WONDERFUL; bringing the web itself so nicely in focus and throwing beautiful bokeh about. The image and quote make for a very, very nice way to start my morning.

  2. lovely…I so enjoy the spiders and their webs.

  3. WOW! Exquisite detail. Absolutely beautiful..and I do love the accompanying quote.

  4. I like this perspective of the spider web. Great capture! 🙂

  5. interesting view! this web seems to be cut off on the right side…

  6. Eyes wide open… I took the web at sunrise, and I was in the bottom of a canyon, so sunlight had only reached to that point. I liked the effect of the web rather suspended.

  7. Nice shot! I enjoy the artwork that spiders do!

  8. Wow, really cool capture! Oh my, just amazing how the light lights up that one section. Good eye.

  9. Ah “…what tangled webs we weave…” This one isn’t tangled, but i’ve wanted to use this snipit of a quote foa a long time.:) This is a beautiful shot. The web seems suspended in space.

  10. It does look suspended, with just the light holding it in the air.

  11. Loved all your latest images, but I REALLY love this one..it is exquisite!!
Thank you for sharing your world!
