Green Window – Pink Perspective I

Colorful Building © 2008 Bo Mackison

Colors abound on this tropical island, especially on the multi-pastel buildings. Even on this abandoned hotel, which lingers on Main Street overlooking high-end jewelry stores and perfumeries and, of course, the ubiquitous duty-free liquor stores.

About Bo Mackison

I'm a photographer, book-artist, traveler, naturalist, and creator of the Contemplative Creatives Journey, An Online Workshop and Community and Desert Wisdom Cards and Workshops. Though often not well known, I find the desert a welcoming place - a healing space. Its mysteries and gifts transformed me several years ago. Since that first encounter, I return again and again to fill my well in what most people think of as a desolate region. I'd love to share my desert discoveries and wisdom with you. Please subscribe to receive my five part mini email course The Gifts of the Desert. It's my gift to you.

  1. Great photo. The colors are so interesting.

  2. love the pink colors in this!

  3. I saw this photo early this morning and didn’t have time to post a comment as I was getting ready to go out to snap photos! 🙂 These are the kinds of photos I really like… abandoned buildings. I like the colors on the side of the building, the rustic black and white porch, and peeling paint. What interesting contrasts and a well shot photo!

  10. Windows always fascinate me…what dwells beyond those green shutters…lives still in process, or ghosts clinging to memories etched within those pink walls?
