Honoring National Beer Day

Honoring National Beer Day

Milwaukee gave a little added shine to her breweries in celebration of National Beer Day earlier this month. It was the 75th anniversary of the return of legal beer in the United States – when Congress passed a law decreeing that 3.2 beer was not an intoxicating beverage and was therefore legal to serve. This was the beginning of the end of the Prohibition Era.

About Bo Mackison

I'm a photographer, book-artist, traveler, naturalist, and creator of the Contemplative Creatives Journey, An Online Workshop and Community and Desert Wisdom Cards and Workshops. Though often not well known, I find the desert a welcoming place - a healing space. Its mysteries and gifts transformed me several years ago. Since that first encounter, I return again and again to fill my well in what most people think of as a desolate region. I'd love to share my desert discoveries and wisdom with you. Please subscribe to receive my five part mini email course The Gifts of the Desert. It's my gift to you.

  1. Would love to honor that one too – no beer here, sigh… πŸ™‚

  2. I love how you played with this concept .. really great work. It definitely creates a mood (but not that happy, young mood typically shown on beer commercials) I like it very creative work!

  3. Well done on this one! I like what you did with the photo. Very creative.

Perhaps I should have a beer to celebrate. πŸ˜‰

  4. Great post. I’m commenting from my ipod for the first time, how fun. Technology is crazy:)

  5. I love the line movement of this one..all of them! πŸ™‚
I also love the color..looks like yellow ochra which is one of my most favorite colors to paint with.

I enjoyed your cemetary images too..very interesting!

    Thank you for sharing these!

  7. Now you have covered a subject near and dear to my heart. As Ben Franklin is supposed to have said “Beer, proof that God loves us.” This is much better than snow (yellow or otherwise). Very nice post. I approve this message.
