So…I know what it is. Do you have any ideas? Give a guess…

And it may be odd shaped, but even so, I think it’s quite beautiful.

About Bo Mackison

I'm a photographer, book-artist, traveler, naturalist, and creator of the Contemplative Creatives Journey, An Online Workshop and Community and Desert Wisdom Cards and Workshops. Though often not well known, I find the desert a welcoming place - a healing space. Its mysteries and gifts transformed me several years ago. Since that first encounter, I return again and again to fill my well in what most people think of as a desolate region. I'd love to share my desert discoveries and wisdom with you. 1. OK…my guess is that it is from a magnolia tree of some sort. 🙂

  2. Hmmm…. I haven’t a clue. I agree with you in that it is odd and beautiful at the same time.

Tis odd and I haven’t seen anything like it… or I haven’t looked close enough, perhaps, to see something like this. However, at second studious glance, it looks like a budding pine cone as a guess! Great shot!

  4. This is extraordinary. Where are you finding these beautiful specimens???

  5. Bo Mackison says

It is a magnolia after all of the blossoms have fallen off. Never expected to find anything quite so unusual – looks like it’s sticking out its tongue…

  6. My dentist should get a copy of this framed for his office. 🙂

  7. haha that sure is an odd looking thing!

  8. Haha, indeed, it is odd.
