Origami Bird

Origami Bird and Gourd © 2010 Bo Mackison

A trip to my local Botanical Gardens brought a sense of delight. Perched in tree after tree were paper birds – doves, cardinals, blue jays, even a bald eagle. First in a series.

About Bo Mackison

I’m a photographer, book-artist, traveler, naturalist, and creator of the Contemplative Creatives Journey, An Online Workshop and Community and Desert Wisdom Cards and Workshops. Though often not well known, I find the desert a welcoming place – a healing space. Its mysteries and gifts transformed me several years ago. Since that first encounter, I return again and again to fill my well in what most people think of as a desolate region. I’d love to share my desert discoveries and wisdom with you. Please subscribe to receive my five part mini email course The Gifts of the Desert. It’s my gift to you.

  1. Angie Willis says:

How beautiful! Can’t wait to see the rest.

  2. How cool! I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of the series.

  3. How wonderful! Wish I could see that!

  4. That’s really cool! Is that a real nest in the gourd?

  5. This is incredible. Such creative ‘art’. Love it!

  6. I have to say I really like the bird, but I also think the gourd with the butterfly has a lot to offer as well.
