Origami Dove on Red Branches

Origami Dove on Red Branches © 2010 Bo Mackison

A trip to my local Botanical Gardens brought a sense of delight. Perched in tree after tree were paper birds – doves, cardinals, blue jays, even a bald eagle. Second in a series.

About Bo Mackison

I’m a photographer, book-artist, traveler, naturalist, and creator of the Contemplative Creatives Journey, An Online Workshop and Community and Desert Wisdom Cards and Workshops. Though often not well known, I find the desert a welcoming place – a healing space. Its mysteries and gifts transformed me several years ago. Since that first encounter, I return again and again to fill my well in what most people think of as a desolate region. I’d love to share my desert discoveries and wisdom with you. Please subscribe to receive my five part mini email course The Gifts of the Desert. It’s my gift to you.

  1. I am so loving these, Bo. Wish I could be there and see it with you!

  2. Wish I could have been there too.

    This is wonderful, Bo.

  3. Aww, this is so lovely. 🙂

  4. Im an origami enthusiast myself, do you have any folding instructions for this dove???

    • Bo Mackison says:

Don’t have the origami instructions, however you might want to contact Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison, Wisconsin. The doves were a part of a display that they were in charge of.
