Two Purple Tulips

Two Purple Tulips © 2012 Bo Mackison

I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order. ~ John Burroughs

I been visiting gardens, the forests, the lake shores — putting my senses back in order. The colors of spring in Wisconsin are surely meant to awaken all of one’s senses!

About Bo Mackison

I'm a photographer, book-artist, traveler, naturalist, and creator of the Contemplative Creatives Journey, An Online Workshop and Community and Desert Wisdom Cards and Workshops. Though often not well known, I find the desert a welcoming place - a healing space. Its mysteries and gifts transformed me several years ago. Since that first encounter, I return again and again to fill my well in what most people think of as a desolate region. I'd love to share my desert discoveries and wisdom with you. Please subscribe to receive my five part mini email course The Gifts of the Desert. It's my gift to you.

  1. Those are sure pretty! I hadn’t seen that deep color before. We had a very cold night last night and our tulips were all bowed down this morning, but they seem to have recovered again.

What a beautiful shade of purple! That would really awaken your senses. 🙂

You are so right. All I have to do is walk amongst the flowers and I feel my whole being respond with delight.

  3. Such a contrast to the desert, isn’t it? Beautiful tulips. 🙂

Funny thing, Robin. I STILL miss the desert, but there are benefits to the lush spring in Wisconsin, too.
