Another Iowa Sky

Another Iowa Sunset © 2007

Sunsets are so beautiful that they almost seem as if we were looking through the gates of Heaven.
John Lubbock, English politician (1834-1913)

I couldn’t resist posting one more Iowa sunset, this one turning the sky a lovely shade of purple. Again taken from car moving too fast, thanks to a driver who wanted to get to Illinois before dark. (We didn’t make it in time so we may as well have stopped a few times.)

About Bo Mackison

I'm a photographer, book-artist, traveler, naturalist, and creator of the Contemplative Creatives Journey, An Online Workshop and Community and Desert Wisdom Cards and Workshops. Though often not well known, I find the desert a welcoming place - a healing space. Its mysteries and gifts transformed me several years ago. Since that first encounter, I return again and again to fill my well in what most people think of as a desolate region. I'd love to share my desert discoveries and wisdom with you. 1. The sunset almost rivals our Arizona sunsets!
    Happy GTS,

  2. Beautiful sky. Beautiful photo. 🙂

  3. Very nice. You must be having some wonderful weather up there.

  4. Aiyana, Robin, David: These were remarkable sunsets for Iowa, the next day there was a terrible ice storm. So much for nice weather.
