Yes, I’m still posting photographs from Yellowstone National Park, though this isn’t an ordinary shot. But it is one of my favorites. Is it the lines or the colors, the minimalism or the mood? I’m not sure.

This little room is in the Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel, tucked just off the main lobby. The closed door, leading to a storage room, is quite short, and reminds me of an Alice in Wonderland portal. The stairs wrap around the room while allowing natural light to come in through the windows.

Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel was designed by architect Robert Reamer, who is most famous for designing Old Faithful Lodge in Yellowstone. The Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel was built in 1937. It’s quite a simple building, but lovely to explore.
