There are moments when you absolutely need someone to show up like magic, not because you need something nice, but because you need your world view transformed. You need some hope to be born in you. You need to know in one moment that someone believes in you. You need a kindness midwife to hold the space so you can show up like magic for someone else the next time around.  ~ Jen Leman

Yes, I’m still posting photographs from Yellowstone National Park, though this isn’t an ordinary shot. But it is one of my favorites. Is it the lines or the colors, the minimalism or the mood? I’m not sure.

This little room is in the Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel, tucked just off the main lobby. The closed door, leading to a storage room, is quite short, and reminds me of an Alice in Wonderland portal. The stairs wrap around the room while allowing natural light to come in through the windows.

Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel was designed by architect Robert Reamer, who is most famous for designing Old Faithful Lodge in Yellowstone. The Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel was built in 1937. It’s quite a simple building, but lovely to explore.
