Wild Roses at Art in the Glen

Three Wild Roses

I’m fond of the wild roses that grow in the garden. I prefer them to the tea roses, not that those roses aren’t beautiful, only that they require much maintenance this far north to keep them healthy. After planting the hybrids two years in a row and losing a total of six out of six plants, I returned to the old garden standard.

After a two weekend break for graduation parties, bridal and bridesmaids dress shopping, and visiting with my dear sister-in-law from California – successful and enjoyable on all counts – I take my “Garden in a Gallery” out on the road again. Seeded Earth Photography and I will be at Art at the Glen in Glenview, Illinois – Sherpa’s hometown – on Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM.

I’m at Booth #81, near the historic airport tower, and I hope to see lots of friends and relatives from Glenview and the Chicago area at the art fair.

I am presenting an art chat in my booth on Saturday at 1:00 PM. If you want to learn more about photography and my personal philosophy, and add your own ideas, come visit Seeded Earth Studio’s booth at 1:00 PM on Saturday. All are welcome.

About Bo Mackison

I'm a photographer, book-artist, traveler, naturalist, and creator of the Contemplative Creatives Journey, An Online Workshop and Community and Desert Wisdom Cards and Workshops. Though often not well known, I find the desert a welcoming place - a healing space. Its mysteries and gifts transformed me several years ago. Since that first encounter, I return again and again to fill my well in what most people think of as a desolate region. I'd love to share my desert discoveries and wisdom with you. Please subscribe to receive my five part mini email course The Gifts of the Desert. It's my gift to you.

Good luck this weekend. Maybe one of these days I’ll be close enough to take you up on your invitation to stop by your booth. 🙂

  7. Ah, Robin. I may be getting closer. Don’t suppose Pontiac, Michigan is near enough your bog, hmm?

  8. Lovely trio. You are brave to give a chat about your art. Hope it went well.

    • The art chat went well–a small group–and an interested young woman who stayed awhile to talk. It was really quite fun–and something I never would have dreamed I could do a few years ago!
