The Golden Hour

Stricker's Pond - Trees Lit by the Setting Sun

Trees in the Golden Hour ©2012 Bo Mackison

Trees are the earth’s endless effort to speak to the listening heaven. ~ Rabindranath Tagore

Spending this week with family and friends, but I still wish to share a photo a day with you of my walk around Stricker’s Pond. I walked in the evening a few days ago, and the tree trunks caught the light from the setting sun.

This time of day is the golden hour in photography parlance — easy to understand why!

I'm a photographer, book-artist, traveler, naturalist, and creator of the Contemplative Creatives Journey, An Online Workshop and Community and Desert Wisdom Cards and Workshops. Though often not well known, I find the desert a welcoming place - a healing space. Its mysteries and gifts transformed me several years ago. Since that first encounter, I return again and again to fill my well in what most people think of as a desolate region. I'd love to share my desert discoveries and wisdom with you.
