Something simple for Halloween Day. A rather atypical pumpkin patch.
This may be the most innately creative pumpkin I’ve seen this Halloween season.

I’ve been making almost daily trips to the gardens this summer.
Over the past five months, there have always been roses to greet me when I entered the Allen Centennial Gardens. They bloomed early this year, the first rose buds opening in the early days of May. And now, as we approach the last days of September, most of the roses have bloomed.
All, except for this one last pink rose, sheltered near the garden trellis. It was just beginning to open when I was there a few days ago. I do believe it will be my last rose of this summer.
Macro photography. An abstract of seed-exploded grass. Photographed at Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison Wisconsin.
Olbrich Botanical Gardens has a variety of themed gardens including this formal garden with a reflecting pool. My favorite part of this garden is the view – not only can you see the formal gardens, but you can see Lake Monona in the view beyond.
Olbrich Gardens is located in Madison, one of the prettiest cities in the Midwest. Madison’s boundaries not only include one large lake, but four. Almost 20% of the area inside Madison’s city limits is comprised of lake, so it is easy to find a shore and take in a water view.
Seeded Earth Studio will exhibiting at the UW Parkside Arts and Crafts Festival on the UW Parkside’s campus in Kenosha, Wisconsin this weekend. My photography will be available, in matted and framed photographs, large canvas photos, and in matted only versions. I also have a great selection of cards and card gift sets available.
Show hours on Saturday June 26 are from 10 am – 4 pm. Both Sherpa and I will be at booth 171.
Directions to the University of Wisconsin – Parkside campus and the Festival can be found on this map.
This is one of my newest botanical photographs, a delicate set of multicolored flowers. I photographed them in the culinary gardens at the University of British Columbia Arboretum in Vancouver while on my recent trip to the Pacific coast. This is one mighty fine arboretum and includes a historical Japanese garden as well as that beloved canopy walk on suspension bridges in the tops of the trees.
This will be one of many new photos available for the first time on Saturday.
I’d love to see you at the show if you’re in the area!
