It was a sunny day, hot and windy. Mid-June in central Illinois.
The flowers in the back yard gardens were in high color–roses, gladioli, poppies. The shrubbery was white with tiny flowers–Bridal Wreath bushes. Fitting for the day. A wedding day.
I was the bride. Sherpa was the groom.
Thirty five years ago today.
Today we remember and reminisce. Today we give thanks and we celebrate.

M and I will be joining you at the 35 year milestone in a couple of months.
So you were a bicentennial bride too! Congratulations a bit early! 🙂
35 years is not nearly long enough to love you. The weekend was great and as usual the photo is most excellent.
To another 35.

Oh Bo, now I know why you love poppies so much!
