go to link Autumn is fast approaching. Last week, Wisconsin had temperatures hovering in the low 90s. This week the thermometer is registering in the low 60s.

https://thelonelycreative.com/novels/ Suddenly I’ve discovered I don’t have to rush out of the house in the early mornings and late evenings to see what newest flowers are blooming in the many nearby gardens. The autumn flowers are blooming, even the purple asters which usually don’t bloom until October.

White Globes

https://hymnsandhome.com/disclosure-statement/ I like taking photographs of rather common sights. This patch of white globes caught my fancy. I liked how part of them were in the setting sunlight while a few were hanging back in the shadows. I liked how the wind was buffeting them. They would lean to the left as the wind blew forcefully, and then come to center when the wind quieted. Over and over, like a dance, lean to the left, return to center, lean to the left.

https://www.52editions.com/raises/ I stopped by the garden pond shortly after a storm had moved through the area. The water was still, but the lily pads were still spotted with rain drops. I never realized how many different colors the lily pads turn, as autumn draws near. Photographed at Allen Centennial Gardens in Madison, Wisconsin.

https://www.appliquecafeblog.com/recommendations/ A blue lupine, so much detail to see in a flower when you stop and really look. I didn’t know blue lupines had all those sumptious shades of purplish blues. I didn’t know they had rows and rows of tiny blossoms, twisting up and down the stem. Photographed in late June is North Cascades National Park in Washington state.
