source link I finally went outdoors on a prolonged photo walk, and brought home about 150 photos. I found these remnants of milkweed pods at the edge of Salmo Pond near the Black Earth Watershed west of Madison. Red twig dogwoods lent the background a reddish tint.  I didn’t see even a hint of green. Tomorrow we are to have solid rain–and maybe up to an inch of sleet–throughout the day, so there will be more thawing. Something green is certain to appear soon.
