Perhaps because prairies are mentioned so much in books I read long ago about our country’s past – settlements and wagon trains and ventures westward. Perhaps it’s due to Little House on the Prairie. When I saw my first prairie I literally wept. Reading about those you visit and seeing your images makes me want to experience one again, and soon. LOVELY coneflowers – I’ve never seen any more beautiful!
