About Bo Mackison

I'm a photographer, book-artist, traveler, naturalist, and creator of the Contemplative Creatives Journey, An Online Workshop and Community and Desert Wisdom Cards and Workshops. Though often not well known, I find the desert a welcoming place - a healing space. Its mysteries and gifts transformed me several years ago. Since that first encounter, I return again and again to fill my well in what most people think of as a desolate region. I'd love to share my desert discoveries and wisdom with you. Please subscribe to receive my five part mini email course The Gifts of the Desert. It's my gift to you.

  2. Most definitely summer in your neck of the woods. I love the lines in the photos.

    • I have been looking for “striped” fields in Wisconsin or Iowa or Illinois for years — but never found them at the right time or place. Finally! I love the lines too…

  3. Love the colors and lines in these pics.

  4. An inspired series. I especially like the second image.

    • It was a great series to shoot — even if I was walking farm roads when it was 105˚. I might go back when it’s a bit cooler, maybe a cloud or two. Just considering…

  5. I love those stripes! Especially with the lace!

  6. These are great! Love the simplicity..the composition..the lines and forms. Terrific!!!!

So simple, yet so stunning, and the contrast in colours is incredible! You can see by the colours that it is summer. I do hope you are surviving the heat-wave. 🙂
