https://bodyandskinclinic.com/body-treatments/ The prickly pear cactus is in bloom…in Wisconsin. This cactus rose was photographed at Allen Centennial Gardens on the University of Wisconsin- Madison campus.
get link That’s really pretty! I’ve seen many prickly pear flowers, but that’s the first of that kind.
follow site It is a lovely shade of peach. I’m more accustomed to seeing the bright yellows and oranges from the Arizona cacti, too.
Gracious, Bo! You are certainly capturing such wonderful flower shots! Each one expressive and artful. I really like this lovely prickly pear cactus bloom.
I’ve been spending LOTS of time in a few area gardens – can;t think of much better places either, not with the sunny weather combined with ample rain we’re having. The flowers are great this year.
Wonderfully delicate (albeit with a sting), but what is this doing in Wisconsin? Cheese and Wisconsin yes; cactus and Wisconsin – I don’t know. 🙂
I DID get a few thorns in my finger – wasn’t paying attention with my eye on the viewfinder. Reminds me of all the stickers I pulled out on my last trip to Arizona! If I lived there, I’d have to carry a PLIERS!
Oh, we’ve still got plenty of cheese too. No worries.
Such wonderful soft peach colors. Beautiful!!!
Thanks Marcie. Looks much more delicate than it really is…
Another sumptuous flower, Bo. Beautiful. 🙂
I was expecting somewhere in the desert, not Wisconsin. lol!
Wisconsin can throw you a surprise if you aren;t paying close attention. So I find out…there is a prickly pear cactus native to Wisconsin. Who knew?
Never heard of this flower before. It’s very cool – it sort of reminds me of incredibly delicate tissue paper twisted together to make the petals. My own interesting perspective I suppose. 🙂
