Another Metaphorical Self Portrait

Self Portrait?

Another self portrait in metaphor.

Not quite in balance.

Need a bit of freshening, but an hour’s work would take care of those smudges, straighten the tangled cords of the window blind.

And a bit of sanding and a fresh coat of paint would hide those worn areas.

Like I mentioned before–metaphor.

Another Memoir Container (in Metaphor)

Here is another photograph of pottery to announce another article on collecting memories and assembling them into a multimedia memoir.

This cactus pottery was seen on an adobe window in the town of Tubac, a few miles south of Tucson. I love how it appears to have a palo verde tree growing out of the container.

Rather metaphorical, like memoirs that can grow from writing just a few words every day.

Turquoise Watering Can

Through the Window

Through the Window

Office window, downtown Tucson. Lots of plants in a sunny window, and a turquoise watering can.

Turquoise Building

La Placita Village

La Placita Village

The Visitor Center in downtown Tucson is housed in a group of buildings, all painted with bright colors.

Pinks, yellows, blues, and yes, this delicious turquoise color. I love the lines in this photograph, and the reflections in the windows that quite invite you to tell an imaginative story to explain what you might imagine.

Musical Window Shopping

on Michigan Avenue

on Michigan Avenue

Paused to do a bit of window shopping on Michigan Avenue, and take a few photographs, too. This store is across the street from the Art Institute of Chicago.
