Lighting the Way

You never know what you’ll see around the next corner. Sometimes there’s just barely enough light to make things out, but those arches and 47 different colors of marble on every imaginable surface make for scrumptious eye candy.

The artist is a receptacle for the emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider’s web. ~ Pablo Picasso

Hallway Reflection

An interior photo from deep within the Wisconsin State Capitol. Even the areas not seen by the typical visiting tourist are amazingly designed and beautifully appointed. From the inset marble floor to the hand painted ceiling, everything has been planned for aesthetics. I love how the hallway seems to be a reflection – ceiling and floor as a reflection of each other.
