Transparency and Curves

Photo Thursday - Transparent

Glass Architecture © 2007

The space within becomes the reality of the building. ~ Frank Lloyd Wright

Another urban photo from Indiana. This glass structure spans a main thoroughfare in downtown Indianapolis and is the city’s performing arts center. This photograph was taken on an early Sunday morning when the streets were deserted.

About Bo Mackison

I'm a photographer, book-artist, traveler, naturalist, and creator of the Contemplative Creatives Journey, An Online Workshop and Community and Desert Wisdom Cards and Workshops. Though often not well known, I find the desert a welcoming place - a healing space. Its mysteries and gifts transformed me several years ago. Since that first encounter, I return again and again to fill my well in what most people think of as a desolate region. I'd love to share my desert discoveries and wisdom with you. 1. wonderful shot! love the composition!

  2. What a great photo for the theme…

  3. Very engaging. I find the structural mesh of cruved and rectangular panes a significant texture for a large segment of our 21st Cent lives. I am working on designs and trying to do this sort of texture or line usage with them. Something constructivist.

  4. Malylah: Thanks. I thought the composition was fun when I spotted it.

Ellen: I thought of this photo the second I saw the category was transparency 🙂

Nouveau Fauves: Thanks for the comment. I am always fascinated with your projects and this type of design sounds intriguing. Whatever happened to the painting you did of the women in the food line? were you satisfied with the end result?
