Very Pink Cosmos

Very Pink Cosmos © 2010 Bo Mackison

We spent a long but enjoyable day at Mt. Horeb’s Art Fair. The crowds were festive and spirited, even though it was hot and humid. We’ll be back again tomorrow for the second day of the art show.

Thunderstorms are predicted in the early morning hours, but hoping maybe the storms will pass us by. We’ll see…

This pink cosmos was photographed last week at Allen Centennial Gardens on the University of Wisconsin’s campus in Madison.

About Bo Mackison

I'm a photographer, book-artist, traveler, naturalist, and creator of the Contemplative Creatives Journey, An Online Workshop and Community and Desert Wisdom Cards and Workshops. Though often not well known, I find the desert a welcoming place - a healing space. Its mysteries and gifts transformed me several years ago. Since that first encounter, I return again and again to fill my well in what most people think of as a desolate region. I'd love to share my desert discoveries and wisdom with you. Please subscribe to receive my five part mini email course The Gifts of the Desert. It's my gift to you.

the flowers this year have been wonderful. So much rain has them growing and blooming longer than usual.

  3. That is definitely pink. It looks like it is floating in a sea of green. Very nice.

  4. Another gorgeous shot, Bo. The color is wonderful.

I noticed Wisconsin has been experiencing a lot of storms lately. Please send some of the rain this way. We could use it. 🙂

  5. I don’t know whether I am going to sound silly or not saying this, but I think this flower has a personality all its own with that color. It seems to be saying ” Bam! Look at me! I dressed up! Don’t I look stunning?”. To that we would all have to say “Yes” I believe. So lovely!
